This morning Smara drove me to the airport before going to the office. Everything was fine until that point. Then it became a bit scarry : No plane for Houston at 11:25:S... nice... after checking twice date, airport, date, company, destination, date (we never know....) ....I went to the company desk to see what was happening with my plane.
« Oh no, don't worry your ticket is good but you will first go to New York, there you will have to pick up your suitcase, to go through customs and then take another plane for Houston....Nice to be warned before !! So well, I'll have a stop in NYC but in only 4hours I don't think I will have time to do some sightseeing...but we never know ! As I have a visa, I might to go out of the airport, just to see what NY is like !
Well that was the first news of the day. Then I went to he check in desk. There the Security stopped me...apparently being French and travelling to Costa Rica from Madrid and coming back from Bogota to Franckfurt is quite suspect..well I know it is. The woman went to fetch the director of the security (No need to mention that I was a bit stressed lol). I had to answer all kinds of questions amongs them : Where do you live ? Do you have family in Spain ? Why do you want to go to Costa Rica ? What are you going to do there ? Do you have a paper to proove that ? Why do you come back to Frankfort ? When and How are you getting to Bogota ? Why don't you have your ticket yet ? Do you know that you can only stay in Costa Rica 90 days without a visa ? How are you going to do ? ….
I should have answered correctly as he let me go with a sticker on my passeport « Security ICTS 3/3 » Hopefully I won't have the same problems at NYC. Where am I now ? Somewhere above the atlantic ocean and to be exact:
I was quite surprised to see that the plane is not that big ! I thought I would fly in a big plane : 3-5-3 but it's only a doble 3 : same size than the plane I took to come to Madrid ! Duration of the flight : 8:07 dixit the pilote !
I started directly by a movie : The Black Swan and I must say : GREAT movie : I loved it !!
We had quite a good meal (once again, shame on me, I didn't take any picture !). We had a salad with a nice dressing, chicken with pasta and asparagus and tomato sauce, bread and the desert which I think is a apple struddle : to be confirmed once I've eaten it ! Therefore you will have a photo of this one : Yamy !
I cannot present my neighbor yet as he is still sleeping but I can tell you that he is American and quite young, I would say about 20... let's see if I learn more when he wakes up. The middle seat is free so it's quite nice to use it as a table to put the camera, bottle of water, books....
I think that's all for the moment. Still 5hours 17 minutes to go ! See you at Houston!
