Panama City Day 2

23/08/2011

Today we slept in…until 7:50am jajaja. It’s late when you don’t have a lot of time in a city. We went to have breakfast: pancakes with bananas. That’s the breakfast at the hostel, it’s good because everyone make their own so you can make as much as you want and cook them as you wish. We have a “pact” with my dad: I cook and he washes the plates after: good deal^^

Don’t ask me how come we finally get out of the hostel only at 10:20am but we did. We went walking in the old town, it was quite nice apart from the weather: humid and stifling.
 The president's house
 The national museum
"To be or not to be on the wall" Well Shakespeare is on the wall of the museum.
Even France is on the wall!
Estelle, Guillaume: don't you want to play there?
 The French place
 The French Ambassy
I didn't have to go to Costa Rica: San José is in Panama also :-)

We stopped for lunch and had a good chicken soup, a national dish here.

Going out of the restaurant we stopped to listen to indigenous music, it was very nice.

After we took a taxi to go to the Natural Sciences Museum. It was a very small museum so we finished it quite quickly.
Sorry for the joke but it's perfect for the photo :)
"Do you have brothers and sisters?
-Yes I have one brother
-Oh, nice what does he do?
-He is at the University
-What does he do there?
-He is in a jar on a shelf
                                                                                -..."
It's such a mean joke...could have been invented by me jajaja

The beast amongst the beasts... I'm so mean with my dad! jajaja

At 3pm we were out with nothing special to see or do as we had done everything planed. We decided to go back to the hostel to rest, pack and enjoy the internet :-)

I’ve seen this add but don’t really understand why they use a box looking a lot like a can of beer… Give your money to the Church instead of buying beers?

I’m very excited because tomorrow we are going to COLOMBIA!!!!!

I don’t know when I’ll have internet again as we don’t know where we are going to stay in Cartagena :-)
