San Luis Waterfall

10/03/2011

San Luis Waterfall: the best place I've ever been too. Paradise, I know what you look like now!! To get there you needed to walk around 45 minutes in the forestbut the views were nice. We were even able to do as Tarzan!! Very nice!

Even if you were in the shadow, it was quite hot but it worthes the journey especially when you have the first spot of the waterfall.

I didn't think twice before jumping in...even if the water was around 10°...it was so refreshing!! I stayed in the water during at least 25 minutes, taking pictures (hopefully I didn't drop my camera into the water!) and just lying on my back, watching at the sky and the waterfall. Good place to think and to rest ;) [I know you all hate me by now but still^^]

Although the current was strong at the approach of the waterfall (the waterfall pushes the water out), I got a massage by putting myself just below it. SOOOOO GOOD! Of course, not too good....well brain damages can't affect me seeing as crazy I am but nevertheless I have to be an example for the kids.... LOL!

Well, it was a great time and so did the kids!! Only two of them didn't go into the water. One because she didn't bring her suitbath and the other one because she fell off the mountain... How could I forgot to mention this point until this point? Well mainly because I wasn't there when it happenned! Muni was at the front and I was closing the group. Muni told me that the girl put her feet near the edge of the cliff and as it was unstable, she felt. Luckily she had good reflexes and was able to clutch a plastic pipe that hung over the cliff ... otherwise she would have fallen about 10 meters ....Don't want to think about this possibility!!!

You are thirsty in the way back?? You forgot your bottle of water?? Don't worry: The water is just GREAT!!

In the evening I was invited by a Tica family. The kindest persons I've ever met! They are host family for our students and they are great! They have two daughters: Amalys and Lisbeth and they are so cuuuute! I played puzzle with Lisbeth (2years old) and read a book with Amalys who is learning to read.
We had an amazing meal: Rice with chicken and vegetable: soooo Yummy!
After the dinner we all played puzzles and Chineese checkers! We all went crazy but had so much fun!!

The uncle came over and he tryed to learn me how to wistle but I really couldn't do it!! :(
They have a HUGE family...the father has..... 12 brothers...and 5 sisters!!!! O GOSH!!! And his aunt gave birth to 24 children...amongs them were 4 pairs of twins!!! O God!! Can you imagine???
At 9pm it was time to leave and Cecilia (the mother) gave us some of the dinner so that we could have breakfast on the morning: she knew we needed to meet the kids at 7am.. SO KIND of her!! This family is just so sweet and nice!! It's a pity I don't have any picture but it would have been a bit strange to take picture of everything ;)

Going out I was able to see the stars: I've never seen so many of them! I don't know if it's because there is no pollution, or no light where I was or if it's the position of Costa Rica but I could have looked at the sky for ever! I was hypnotised by it! What a wonderful day!
