End of the adventure CPI

After the goodbye at Monteverde, it was time to do the same at Heredia. I was in a way lucky because as it’s mother’s day in Costa Rica on Monday, the school organized a lunch for all the “mums” but everyone was invited. It was a kind of farewell lunch jajaja.

As I didn’t know that the lunch was including a desert (in Costa Rica they don’t eat desert very ofter), I had bought a big cake. Instead of sharing it at lunch, I decided to share with my colleagues at break time. It was a nice way to say thank you and goodbye.

In red is Annia, my Spanish teacher. One of the best teacher I ever had.

At night, I finished everything I had to do at the school and went to the shop in front to speak a bit with the two owners: Victor and Andrea. She works also at CPI and that’s how I met her at first. They are two very very nice persons… even if Victor supports the Real Madrid…just kidding!

After I went to see my students at the restaurant they were all having a farewell dinner. I was a bit late but share a good time with them. They were all going to Rumba to party for the last time in Costa Rica. They tried hard to convince me to come with them and I the end they won the battle. I sent a message to Victor (not the one from the shop but a very good friend of mine) to let him know that he had to change because we were going to Rumba…yes it’s exact, I didn’t ask him but just let him know what was going to happen. After a quick stop at my house to take a shower and change, I took a taxi, stopped at Victor’s house and we headed to Rumba to meet with the rest of the group. It was a nice evening all together, chatting and dancing. I even made Victor dance! That was quite a challenge because he usually doesn’t dance even if he is a good dancer :(

On Saturday morning I brought- for the last time- my group to the airport. After what I went home and have a Chinese lunch with my family. In the afternoon I met Victor and we were suppose to go to Heredia City center but the veterinarian just called him to tell him that they might know where his lost dog Zeus was. So we decided to go to the veterinarian to find the address. We went there but unfortunately no one was there. We decided to go to Heredia to check the price of tattoos and to go to a shop selling funny shirts. The only thing we managed was to get soaked by the heavy rain. We came back to San Joaquin to have lunch for Victor and a snack for me. We had a nice chat about nothing and everything and we laughed a lot. We went back to the house for his dog but the information the people had gave to the veterinarian was incorrect and the family didn’t find any dog. Victor was very disappointed so we decided to do some search, under the rain, knocking on the doors to try to find the dog. It was unsuccessful. :(

I went home, take a shower and invited my tico family to dinner to thank them for everything they did for me during my stay. The kids wanted to go to KFC so we went there, shared a meal and the kids played a lot in the “kid area”.

Mauricio and his favorite pet! They are very cute together!

At night I went with one of my friend to Rick’s for my farewell party in Heredia. It was the best night ever, I had a lot of fun and the shows were amazing, a very good performance!

Sunday morning I had a Gallo Pinto breakfast with the whole family, which never happened before, and they dropped me at the school because I had to meet my boss to say goodbye to her. Her and her husband even drove me to the hotel I was staying at in San José. That was very nice from them as it was quicker and more comfortable than a public bus. The room wasn’t ready yet but I took advantage of that time to rest and use the internet. At 12 I was able to enter my room and had a nap.

Saying goodbye to Victor was the hardest and saddest goodbye I ever had to give anyone. He is one of the sweetest persons I ever met and a great friend, I’ll miss him a lot. Thanks Victor for sharing so much with me and being such a great friend. You know how much I love you, never forget it!
Well you know...blue icing on a cake...it was obvious it was time for a "who will put more icing on the other face" fight^^

Tomorrow my dad is coming and it’s going to be another great adventure! I let you posted as soon as I can about our journey through Costa Rica, Panama and Colombia!!!!
