It's going to be very hard for me to give detailed news about my trip in Panama and Colombia as I won't have a lot of time to write or to post articles but I’ll do my best. That might be the last "long" article I'll post.
We left San Jose at 5:40am to go and wait for the bus in front of the National theater of San Jose. The bus got there at 6:30am and I was very happy to meet Berny, the guide I had have with my group 3 weeks ago. He had good news for me: Alex, another guide and friend of mine was also coming to Tortuguero the same day. He was more than true as we saw him at breakfast time with his group.
On the way we stopped to the a banana plantation. My dad wanted to take a picture of me in the middle of the trees. When I asked why his answer was “because I wanted a banana in the middle of the bananas”… thanks dad! Now you know where my sense of humor comes from… :)
Berny, a very good guide!
Once at Cana Blanca where we had to take the boat for more or less 1h30 to get to Tortuguero. We were able to see a caiman from very near which was a good first sight.
Once at the hotel we had lunch and entered our room.
Turtles' egg
Turtle's path
After dinner we went to see turtles. It was forbidden to take pictures or even to bring the camera on the beach. We had the chance to see 4 of them: one going out of the water to lay eggs, one hiding the eggs, one going back to the sea and one actually laying eggs and covering them. It was fantastic!!
"star" mode :)
After packing everything, we went back to San Jose to spend the afternoon visiting the town.
Tomorrow: Cartago!!
